Brad Pitt Says He and Angelina Will 'Crap Out' Somewhere Between 7 and 9' Kids

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will "crap out somewhere between seven and nine" children, Pitt told Charlie Rose Monday night. The number stood at a dozen just three months ago, but Pitt told Rose, "I think we'll crap out somewhere between seven and nine."So far, "Brangelina" has four children: Maddox, Zahara and Pax, who were adopted, and Shiloh, who is their biological child.

Red Campaign

I’ve just decided that from here on out, the name Brad Pitt will also be used as a verb, meaning: to do an act of kindness and/or extreme selflessness resulting in general goodwill for all of mankind. Let’s try it out. “Oh yeah I saw this homeless guy on the street the other day and I totally did a Brad Pitt and gave him my sandwich.” Or, “One might say that Mother Teresa Brad Pitted herself a spot into heaven-typical!” Hmm…maybe?
I only bring this up because HE’S DONE IT AGAIN!! The rumor on the street is that Brad Pitt (the man, not the verb) will be shooting a Dell commercial set to premier at the 2008 Super Bowl and then just handing over the dough to Bono’s Red Campaign. The Red Campaign supports The Global Fund, which helps women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Dude, you’re talented, you’re rich, the ladies love you, and now you’re a humanitarian god. Save some for the rest of us! Oh well, it looks like I’m just gonna have to Brad Pitt my way into

Fighting With Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt must fight a lot. The couple are often reported as being a odds over such things ex exes such as Jennifer Aniston and Jonny Lee Miller and other reports have claimed that they really don't see eye to eye on money matters either. But they have defied all of the tabloid reports and they are headed into 2008 still together but still unmarried.
Many have speculated that will be for an easy getaway in case they do eventually split. While that seems logical it will be even more difficult because of the four children they have. And that's what Jolie wants to talk about.Reports claim she has recently confessed that she will not fight in front of the children. She admitted that she and Brad have no problem mixing it up over issues of the day but she wants to make certain that they don't do it (and by "do it" I mean fight) in front of their kids. She says that their debates never are about how to raise the kids.
Both Jolie and Pitt say they are going to adopt more kids in the future but they caught so much heat for their last adoption, as Jolie bent the rules and adopted as a "single mother" and left Brad out of the process even though she was living with him. It will be interesting to see if they really start the year off with more adoption plans.

Brad & Angie's Big Easy

For a couple like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who have traveled together to countless exotic locales and who could afford to live and raise their growing family anywhere in the world they choose, a laid-back city like New Orleans might seem slightly out of place. But that's exactly the reason they love it so much.
"Angelina adores New Orleans," a source inside the Brangelina camp explains to OK!. "It’s where she and her family feel safest. They feel like they're an all-American, regular family and that they’re no different than any other family walking around the French Quarter with their coffee on a cold morning."
This feeling couldn't been more evident than during the recent holidays, when the Jolie-Pitt clan gathered in the Big Easy to relax and spend time together. "It’s a special place for Brad and Angie," reveals the insider. "They really feel at home and it brings them closer together, it seems to be the one city where they connect.”
And Brad and Angelina aren't content with just taking shelter in their new home; these A-list philanthropists are giving back, especially Brad, whose Make It Right project aims to rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. “Angelina loves the idea that they have helped the community since Katrina," the source tells OK!. "She finds it incredibly sexy that Brad is so passionate about restoring the city, the community and being a part of the culture.”
The proud parents love taking their four young children sightseeing around New Orleans. “ They want them to see the breathtaking beauty of the city,” the family friend explains to OK!. “Shiloh 'oohs' and 'ahhs' over everything. She would get so excited she’d just start clapping and giggling on the back of Angelina’s bike."

Brad Pitt To Film Super Bowl Commercial For Dell

Rumor has it that Brad Pitt will be filming a commercial for the upcoming Super Bowl. The money that Pitt receives from filming the commercial will be donated to charity–Bono’s Red Campaign. Brad’s commercial for Dell Computers is set to air during the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XLII airs on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 in case anyone is wondering.

Brangelina’s Trip to Pippen Lane

Always looking out for their brood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took some time out of their day to browse for a few items at the Pippen Lane store (specializing in kid’s clothes, accessories, and toys) in the Big Easy today.
The Fight Club stud and his Girl, Interrupted partner were spotted on Magazine Street scoping out some post-holiday bargains.

Brad Pitt building green homes in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) -- Expanding on a promise he made nearly two months ago, actor Brad Pitt said Monday he expects to have families in 150 newly created homes in New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward by the end of next summer -- but he asked for help to make the dream a reality.
"To build those 150 homes, we need the help of the American people," he said in a news conference Monday. "We need to all join together to do this. There is no reason why we can't do a thousand homes."
Pitt announced in September that he was partnering with film producer Steve Bing to build "affordable and sustainable homes" in the Lower 9th Ward, an area of the city that Hurricane Katrina devastated in 2005. Pitt and Bing have also each pledged $5 million to the rebuilding project.
The 150 eco-friendly homes mark the first initiative of Pitt's "Make it Right" project, aimed at redeveloping the Lower 9th Ward.
Once marked by dense housing, the Lower 9th Ward was heavily flooded during Hurricane Katrina, and afterward most of the area was razed. There has been little rebuilding done there since the storm, although some people have been living in trailers in the area.
"You're going to see life coming in," the 43-year-old actor told NBC's "Today" show. "We'll have people in homes by the end of next summer."
Impact Your World

On Monday, Pitt walked through the neighborhood where the houses are to be built. Housing forms draped in pink tarps filled the area.
Later, he explained the rationale behind the bright hue.
"My thinking why it's pink is because it screams the loudest," he said at the news conference. "It says people are coming back."
He noted that others have suggested the color evokes the American dream of "little pink houses," as described in John Mellencamp's song of the same name, or that the houses were the "pink elephant" in the room: "That at the federal level it's business as usual. ... Down here we're still in limbo. We're still waiting."
Pitt said he welcomes more donations. "This is really an adopt-a-house campaign," he told NBC. "I'm asking for foundations, for high-network individuals, for church groups, for corporations to come in and adopt a house. Basically $150,000 will get a family back into their home."
Pitt said 13 architects have helped in the project. He said design requirements for the homes were "affordability, sustainability, safety -- and that they be beautiful," according to The Associated Press.
In the news conference Monday, Robert Green -- a New Orleans resident who lost his 73-year-old mother and 3-year-old granddaughter on August 29, 2005, the day Katrina hit -- expressed his gratitude for what Pitt and "Make it Right" are trying to do.
"We get a chance to bring our community back," he said. "This is something we need, something to spearhead the change that's going to make things right for our community again."
Pitt's work is not the only high-profile rebuilding effort in New Orleans.
Jazz musician Branford Marsalis and musician-actor Harry Connick Jr. have teamed with Habitat for Humanity to build a "Musicians' Village" in the Upper 9th Ward. Construction began in March 2006. More than 40 families now live in homes in the village, according to the Habitat for Humanity Web site.
Pitt and Angelina Jolie own their own house in New Orleans, a French Quarter mansion the pair purchased in early 2007.
"[New Orleans] has an energy like no other place," Pitt told the New Orleans Times-Picayune in May. "I've got to get me some of it. I absolutely love it there."

Brad Pitt plans to rebuild ravaged New Orleans

ACTOR Brad Pitt has launched his own regeneration project for hurricane Katrina-ravaged New Orleans, unveiling designs for a range of eco-friendly and flood-proof homes.
Pitt commissioned 13 architectural firms to produce houses that would incorporate solar power and other environmentally sound designs.
He has put up $US5 million ($A5.7 million) of his own money and launched a website, www.makeitrightnola.org, asking corporations, church groups and others for $US150,000 donations for his adopt-a-house project, as well as smaller public donations.
Former residents of the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans will be expected to contribute part of the cost of the new houses, with Make It Right making up the shortfall.
The actor fell in love with the city while filming Interview with the Vampire there in 1994. Earlier this year, he set up home in the city's French Quarter with Angelina Jolie and their children.
More than two years after the destruction of much of the city by hurricane Katrina, Pitt announced his plan for 150 new houses to be completed by next year. He said there was no reason why it could not expand to 10,000 or even 100,000.
Pitt is pushing ahead in spite of resistance from the city, state and the federal governments, with many officials and politicians wondering whether it is a good idea to rebuild at all in a flood-prone area.
The homes are to be built initially in the city's Lower Ninth Ward, one of the poorest — and mainly black — areas of the city. It was flattened by flooding and remains almost deserted.
To publicise his cause, Pitt had 150 huge pink Monopoly-shaped tents scattered about the Lower Ninth. He said the aim was to replace them with houses. The pink blocks, which he described as a work of art, are to be taken on a five-week tour, decorated with 1000 light bulbs that he stressed would be solar-powered.
He said yesterday the priorities for the architects were safety, sustainability, affordability and aesthetics. They were asked to design homes that are at least 1.5 metres off the ground, with a porch and three bedrooms, at a cost of about $US150,000.
One of the architects has designed a floating house instead of one on stilts, incorporating a lightweight concrete foundation held down by two pylons, which would rise with floodwaters.
Pitt, who is from Missouri, was in New Orleans earlier this year filming a new film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. But he told a television interviewer yesterday that rebuilding the Lower Ninth was a bigger priority than his movie career. "Right now this is the focus, and we're going to see this thing through."

Brad Pitt is “Super Dad” while Angelina Jolie Lies in Bed

Brad Pitt has been given the title “super dad” for his dedication to taking care of he and Angelina Jolie’s four children. According to sources, the 44-year-old actor gets the children up every morning while Jolie lies in the bed.
“Sometimes the kids will go in and wake her, but they’re not supposed to. Sometimes she’ll get up earlier to take the kids to school, but Brad’s usually the one who gets them out the door,” said an insider. “Brad gets up really early with the children. He changes diapers and gets Zahara and Shiloh fed and dressed for the day. He takes this responsibility very seriously.”

Meanwhile, Jolie has said she and Pitt may have another child this year. It is unclear whether they plan to adopt or have another biological child.

Life beyond show business

MANILA, Philippines - Among Hollywood stars, Angelina Jolie has set the bar high for celebrities’ involvement in movements and campaigns much larger than themselves. Her sterling example has prompted other stars to similarly use their celebrity as a potent tool to focus the public’s attention on pressing issues that need to be addressed, not just locally but sometimes even globally.
Instructively, Angelina’s latest stellar “recruit” is her own significant other, Brad Pitt. The similarly popular leading man has chosen to focus on providing new homes for the victims of typhoon Katrina.
To generate public support for the massive home-building initiative, Pitt has been guesting on many TV shows. Setting an even better example, he has donated millions of his own money to the massive home-building movement. Clearly, this is one star who knows how to walk the talk!
It helps, of course, that stardom has enabled Pitt to become financially independent beyond his boyhood dreams. But there are other stars far richer than he is who have opted to keep their multimillions to themselves, so “props” to him for showing others the far better way to go.
Documentary filmmaker
Another star who proves that there is life beyond show business—this time in a more literal way—is “Splash” leading lady Daryl Hannah. Unknown to many people, Hannah has for the past few years, evolved from star to documentary filmmaker!
Like Pitt, she’s chosen to use her celebrity to encourage the public to focus on significant issues—but, she’s chosen to do so even more directly, through the use of her video camera, to film documentaries about child workers and the trafficking of minors all over the world.
What prompted Hannah to stop acting in front of the movie camera and work behind it? She became more serious about her need to make her work relevant to the world beyond entertainment when she fell in love with John F. Kennedy Jr., before his marriage and tragic death.
Kennedy may no longer be around, but the world view he helped Hannah acquire has guided career choices and other decisions to this day.
Hollywood’s Golden Boy
For his part, Robert Redford used to be the Golden Boy of mainstream Hollywood cinema, but shifted his focus in a big way when he became the moving force behind the Sundance Film Institute and Festival, which boost the fortunes and future of alternative cinema.
Before Sundance, many alternative filmmakers and “indies” had a tough time finding financing and good showcases for their movies. Now, they can take advantage of the fact that Sundance has become one of the most influential film festivals in the world.
In addition, it boosts the careers of new filmmakers by conducting workshops and talent searches, providing start-up grants for promising productions, and making sure that its festival winners secure solid distribution deals worldwide.
Redford was such a mainstream talent that his shift to promoting “indies” was most unexpected. But, people who’ve known him for decades weren’t surprised, because he’s shown them his nonstar persona from the very beginning.
For instance, at the peak of his high-flying career, Redford chose to take time off from acting in movies to direct his first feature, “Ordinary People,” in 1980.
His follow-up film, “The Milagro Beanfield War,” was even more significant, and his subsequent directorial efforts, “A River Runs Through It” and “Quiz Show,” were similarly outstanding.

First Look: Brad Pitt as an Elderly Infant

Ever think you'd see Brad Pitt looking like E.T.? This wrinkly newborn may be the closest you get. Pitt is starring in the David Fincher film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button about a man who is born elderly and ages backward. At 50 he falls in love and must deal with the consequences aging backward have on the relationship. At each stage of his life, including infancy, the character must look like Pitt, so the filmmakers have found a way to CG Pitt's features onto the baby. Of course, Pitt eventually turns into:

A few shots turned up of Pitt on-set some months ago. One is posted AFTER THE JUMP...

Brad Pitt's Pink House art installation ends Sunday

Say goodbye to Make It Right's Pink House art installation Sunday (Jan. 6) at 3 p.m., with a free closing concert by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the 9th Ward's own Lastie Family Gospel and Choir.
The 150 startlingly pink fabric houses appeared in early Dec. as an attention-getter for star Brad Pitt's altruistic project to bring affordable homes to the flood-ravaged neighborhood. Donors have sponsored 65 homes so far and the fund-raising continues. The pink fabric houses will now be used to make collectible hand bags and -- possibly -- umbrellas.
Self-guided tours of the Pink House installation that begin at the corner of Claiborne Avenue and Reynes Street, continue through dusk Monday (Jan. 7).

Pitt family, Jolie spotted at Springfield pizzeria

SPRINGFIELD Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in southwest Missouri this week for a reunion with the Pitt family.
Their trip included a stop Wednesday at Arris’ Pizza in Brad Pitts’s hometown. The group included Pitt’s parents, Jane and Bill, their adult children, Doug Pitt and Julie Neal, and 11 grandchildren.
Brian Keppy, Arris’ kitchen manager, said other patrons left the family alone. No one took photos or asked for autographs.
Doug Pitt’s wife, Lisa, confirmed the family was left in peace and said that treatment is typical when Brad and Angelina visit Springfield.
“We went to the movies last year when they came and people were just so cool. Even when we go shopping,” she said.

I'm gonna design my own fleet of trailers. No! I'm gonna record an album like Jennifer Lopez. It'll be an acoustic version of KC & The Sunshine Band. Then maybe I'll design a line of clothes like [Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs] but all in synthetic fur.
I'd like to design something like a city or a museum. I want to do something hands on rather than just play golf which is the sport of the religious right.
[Viasat magazine, 5/01] Fame is a bitch, man.
[on what keeps him humble] You know, I telephoned my grandparents the other day, and my grandfather said to me, "We saw your movie." "Which one?" I said, and he shouted, "Betty, what was the name of that movie I didn't like?" I thought that was just classic. I mean, if that doesn't keep your feet on the ground, what would?
I'm one of those people you hate because of genetics. It's the truth.
Success is a beast. And it actually puts the emphasis on the wrong thing. You get away with more instead of looking within.
[Time magazine, 10/13/97] You shouldn't speak until you know what you're talking about. That's why I get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? I'm a f---ing actor! They hand me a script. I act. I'm here for entertainment. Basically, when you whittle everything away, I'm a grown man who puts on makeup.
When you see a person, do you just concentrate on their looks? It's just a first impression. Then there's someone who doesn't catch your eye immediately, but you talk to them and they become the most beautiful thing in the world. The greatest actors aren't what you would call beautiful sex symbols. I'll tell you who my favorite actress is, Dianne Wiest, and you wouldn't call her a sex symbol. Dianne Wiest is, to me, the most beautiful woman on the screen.
[when asked by Conan O'Brien how he got into character as stoner JD in True Romance (1993)] I'm a method actor.
[In May, 2005, on his impending divorce to Jennifer Aniston] The thing I don't understand is looking at this as a failure. It's talked about like it failed, I guess because it wasn't flawless. Me, I embrace the messiness of life. I find it so beautiful, actually.
[2003] It's amazing what an impending midlife crisis will do for you, really. It got me motivated, having turned 40 in December.
[on having children] It really changes your perspective on the world. You know, I've had my day. I made some films, and I've really had a very fortunate life, and it's time for me to share that a little bit. Having children takes the focus off yourself, which I'm really grateful for. I'm so tired of thinking about myself. I'm sick of myself. You feel you want to be there and not miss out on anything. It's a true joy and a very profound love. You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can paint a painting, but having kids is the most extraordinary thing I've ever taken on.
[pn how his children will influence his future roles] My thoughts these days are, "Oh, my God, what did I do? What are they going to see from the past?" It definitely colors what I'll approach in the future. I'll try to be a little bit more mature about my decisions.

Brad is putting a call out to all American families to be generous and giving this Christmas season by donating to the cause and helping New Orleans families as they fight "the fight of the their lives." The biggest focus of the efforts is rebuilding the homes that were lost, and doing it in a speedy and environmentally conscious way. Brad Pitt

For an actor who eschews the spotlight, Pitt couldn't avoid it last year. His breakup with Jennifer Aniston and subsequent coupling with Angelina Jolie sent the tabloids into a veritable feeding frenzy. (His daughter by Jolie, named Shiloh, was born in May in Namibia.) But it was his share of the profits from the half-billion-dollar grossing "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" that lined his pockets. While fatherhood should no doubt keep him busy, Pitt plans to film "Ocean's 13" with pal George Clooney.
